Mocktotype is a tool that displays website mockups in the browser. It is like the Figma presentation view. You can upload your design image to Mocktotype and it’ll give you a URL that you can send to your clients so they can see your design live in the browser.
This is a side project with my colleague. He did all the design and front-end code while I was responsible for developing the back-end. I built the back end using Laravel.
This product became quite popular in 2015. It got into the top ten products of the day in Product Hunt and had over 1000 new users overnight. Unfortunately, we couldn’t figure out how to monetize it and we can’t maintain it anymore.
